Conservation and management of Lake Victoria indigenous fish diversity: what are the issues?

The presentation will briefly summarise changes in the indigenous fish diversity of the Lake Victoria region that has taken place over the past 20 years. It will review suggested causes and will ask where to go from here. It will develop management suggestions aimed at maintaining the currently existing diversity and at safeguarding the sources and mechanisms of resurgence of diversity.
